In this month’s podcast I speak with Barrie Smith who is not only the founder of Barrie Smith Motorsport and Competition Friction but is also a very keen Tarmac Rally driver and we talked about the recent Targa High Country Sprint, where he came third outright.

This was the inaugural Targa High Country Sprint in the Victorian alpine region which saw competition cars racing up the iconic 17 km alpine road from Merrijig to the Mt Buller Village over the weekend, while over three days the tour groups not only drove the Mt Buller Road but also closed road stages into the King Valley around the Lake Eildon area.

I took my Mazda RX7SP in the tour and had a fantastic weekend driving some really challenging roads and catching up with good friends.
