Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorbike

I came across the earlier story of Toby Price’s Trophy Truck being for sale when I was recently looking through motor bike sale sites to find out about the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cruiser. Although I was temporarily distracted by Toby’s ad and the price being well out of my price range, I quickly got back to the Royal Enfield search.

I have a bit of soft spot for the Royal Enfield bikes as over the last five years I’ve been lucky to spend time on specifically the Royal Enfield Himalaya adventure bike riding throughout the Himalaya’s in India and Tibet, even getting to see the sun set on Mt Everest from the North base camp.

I’ve heard some good reports about the Super Meteor 650 Cruiser which Royal Enfield released earlier this year which amongst other things are great value for money at around $12,000 new on-road.

The Royal Enfield bikes of recent years are very different to the ones of the past as although they’re still made in India, much of the research and development is done in England, lead by former Triumph engineers and designers, so consequently while still maintaining the traditional Royal Enfield look, they ride very much like a Triumph and the reliability is much better.

If you’re in the market for a value priced everyday cruiser I’d certainly recommend you consider the Super Meteor 650 and have a look at Dylan Ruddy’s video review in the following bikesales.com.au, which is filmed in India. For anyone who has had the pleasure of riding in India, I’m sure like it did for me, this story will bring back many wonderful memories of riding a bike through Indian cities with other bikes, scooters, cars, buses, people, and cows going everywhere.
