This month’s Famous Last Words Podcast is with Barry Oliver, a man who many race fans will know by his voice at racetracks around Australia for many years.

I first met Barry 30 years ago at the Targa Tasmania Tarmac Rally when he and Jim Richards teamed up for their first tarmac rally event, as I did with a mate of mine, John Schaap. Every year since then I’ve continued to compete again them until their retirement in 2018.  To this day Jim and Barry are Australia’s most successful Tarmac Rally combination, amassing 25 wins and 43 podium positions from 78 starts at events all around the country.

Barry has an amazing knowledge of all thing’s motorsport, is still a very keen follower of V8 Supercars, and has been very generous with his time on varying motorsport committees.
