Whilst we’re on electric vehicles and call me old school, but I do struggle a little getting my head around the fact that a Tesla Model S electric car utilises a front and rear motor combination which develops an output of up to 615 kW 1,300 Nm from 3-phase AC induction motors about the size of a back pack…. and makes no noise!!!

So I was like a pig in mud when I came across this video recently that made me wonder if a car engine can ever be too big or too loud?
