The inaugural Rippon Lea Concours D’Elegance, proudly supported by Famous Insurance, delivered a spectacular day for car lovers in an unforgettable setting. Held on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, under brilliant skies at the stately Rippon Lea Estate, the event transformed manicured gardens into a vibrant showcase of motoring history and excellence. With just 100 of the rarest cars and 25 exceptional motorcycles on display, it was a feast for the eyes and the soul of every enthusiast who appreciates fine automotive craftsmanship.
More than just a static car show, the Rippon Lea Concours offered a dynamic twist that set it apart—owners were invited to drive their prized machines onto the estate grounds, exhibit them throughout the day, and then cruise home before dusk. This unique format created a personal, engaging atmosphere, as spectators connected not only with the vehicles but also with the passionate individuals who preserve and drive them.
From the moment guests arrived, they were met with a symphony of curves, chrome, and horsepower. A breathtaking lineup of Lamborghini legends—Diablo, Countach, 350 GT, and 400 GT-set the tone for what was to come. Spread across the estate, each lawn was a curated tribute to automotive excellence.
Lawn 2 in particular stood out, boasting classics like the Fiat Dino, a road-going Lancia Stratos HF, and the effortlessly elegant Aston Martin V12 Vantage. The Ferrari 550 and a striking Lotus Esprit added to the eclectic but thoroughly impressive mix of vehicles that represented decades of design brilliance and engineering prowess.
Where Legends Meet Legacy
The event also attracted some of Australia’s most prominent collectors. A major highlight was the Lindsay Fox Collection, with five showstoppers on display, including a barely-driven Ferrari 288 GTO, a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, and a breathtaking McLaren SLR Stirling Moss. These vehicles weren’t just museum pieces-they were icons brought to life.
Among the most talked-about exhibits was Nigel Hunt’s Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa recreation, a build so meticulous it turned heads all day. Elsewhere on the lawn, a Ferrari SP3 Daytona and a Porsche Carrera GT in shimmering GT Silver underscored the event’s high-octane pedigree.
From Porsche to Bugatti, Ferrari to Mercedes-Benz, the Rippon Lea Concours delivered something for every enthusiast—whether you’re a collector, a restorer, or simply someone who appreciates automotive beauty.
