Famous Insurance was proud to support the 2026 Rob Roy Revival, one of Australia’s premier historic motorsport and classic car events, celebrating nearly 90 years of racing heritage at the iconic Rob Roy Hillclimb in Victoria’s picturesque Christmas Hills.
For motoring enthusiasts, few venues carry the significance of the Rob Roy Hillclimb. Combining historic competition vehicles, rare classic cars, concours displays and passionate enthusiasts, the Rob Roy Revival has quickly become one of the most anticipated classic motoring events in Australia.
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Christmas Hills, northeast of Melbourne, the Rob Roy Hillclimb is regarded as Australia’s first purpose-built hillclimb circuit. Since opening in 1937, the venue has played an important role in Australian motorsport history, hosting generations of competitors and showcasing everything from pre-war machinery to modern performance cars.
Many of Australia’s most celebrated drivers competed at Rob Roy during their careers, and today the venue remains a vital part of Victoria’s historic motorsport landscape. Its challenging layout, beautiful setting and rich heritage make it one of the most unique motorsport venues in the country.
The 2026 Rob Roy Revival once again transformed the famous hillclimb into a vibrant festival of automotive culture.
More than 100 competitors tackled the iconic course, while a further 200 vehicles filled the grounds through a diverse collection of car clubs, enthusiast groups and private collectors. Visitors were treated to an incredible display covering over 110 years of motoring history, from veteran-era automobiles through to modern sports and performance cars.
A major highlight was the popular Gaze’s Gully Classic Concours, where immaculate vehicles were displayed on the venue’s stunning green lawns. Classic European marques, rare competition machines, Australian motoring icons and significant historic vehicles all came together to create a truly unforgettable automotive spectacle.
For anyone passionate about classic cars, historic racing, automotive heritage or motorsport culture, the Rob Roy Revival delivers a unique experience unlike any other event in Australia.
