Glen Wood is set to roll into his third consecutive season of Porsche Carrera Cup Australia with a striking new look on his #911, thanks to an expanded naming rights partnership shared between BJS Insurance Group and Famous Insurance Brokers.
Continuing his relationship with Earl Bamber Motorsport, Wood’s Porsche will debut refreshed colours as the partnership, first established at the beginning of 2025, steps up to headline status for 2026.
“Famous came on board in a smaller role last year,” Wood said. “They’re specialists in classic and prestige vehicles, and we recognised the opportunity to grow together. Carrera Cup is one of the strongest categories in Australia, so to elevate the partnership this season gives me great confidence. It’s even more rewarding to align with a brand that genuinely connects with the car enthusiast community.”
The series itself also enters a new era in 2026, now branded Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia, with Equity-One stepping up from its previous role as Pro Class partner to become naming rights sponsor.
Famous Insurance Brokers is built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts — catering to everything from individual classics to high-value collections. Operating under the broader BJS Insurance Group umbrella, the partnership provides both niche automotive expertise and access to comprehensive insurance solutions across the wider market.
BJS Insurance Group Managing Director Belinda Scott sees strong alignment in the collaboration.
“Famous is a natural fit within motorsport — it’s a great conversation starter,” Scott said. “Through Glen’s platform we can connect with passionate car owners, while the broader BJS group supports their wider insurance needs. Glen works extremely hard to bring value to his partners, so this relationship makes sense on every level.”
