Famous Insurance are proud supporters of Autohouse Caffeine and Machine in 2025, with the first event kicking off on Saturday 22nd of March under glorious Brisbane sun with a huge turnout of cars and people.
Autohouse partnered with the Porsche Club of Queensland in what was a turnout of 295 vehicles with over half being from the PCQ. Various cars both classic and modern attended as well as a number of traders including Bowdens Own, LendIt, Ctek, The Cover Shop and the team at Famous all on site.
Coffee is a must at these events and over 300 coffee’s were sold with an estimate of approximately 500 people helping raise $6184 for the event charity partner.
There were some absolute star vehicles on display, with the obvious feature theme of Porsche a number of modern inclusions such as the hero Porsche GT2 RS, GT3 and GT3 RS’s and of course the GT4 and GT4 RS Cayman variants were widely seen. In what came across as a fresh feel there were 996 and 997 variants of the famed GT3 as well as a 997 GT2, a number of Turbo variants, an RWB, classic 911’s and a handful of 356’s.
The feature display without doubt however was Oscar Targett’s 992 GT3 Carrera Cup car that sat alongside one of the holy grail’s of Porsche’s motorsport history in Porsche 917/30 Chassis #005. Two matching Carrera GT’s also drove to the event, both cars are ex North American delivery and in GT-Silver with yellow brake calipers
The Carrera GT is one of the last analogue supercar’s with it’s naturally aspirated V10, Manual gearbox and a far cry technology wise from the recent 918 Spyder.
Both Carrera GT’s reside in Brisbane and were a highlight of the day for any car person.
Autohouse will feature another event in May or June so keep an eye out for the theme for their upcoming events and if you’re a local Queenslander looking for storage make sure you head to Autohouse for all your needs.
