A friend phoned me recently all very excited, because as a Ford fan he saw on the web that the Ford Falcon was about to make a return and according to him it looked fantastic.
Although I hadn’t heard anything about this through any of my industry contacts, I chased it up, and yes having googled 2025 Ford Falcon, I was on a site that said:
“Welcome back to The Auto Show! Today, we’re thrilled to unveil the all-new 2025 Ford Falcon, a stunning blend of modern technology and classic appeal. After years of anticipation, this iconic nameplate makes a triumphant return……”
And the pictures of the proposed new car look fantastic, albeit a lot like the Mustang:

The only problem is there are no plans for a new Ford Falcon and all that’s mentioned in the video link is, to quote a former US President ‘Fake News’, and the whole video is AI generated, which is a pity as the car does look pretty good.
According to a much younger person than me, not only the pictures are AI generated …. Everything including the voice and music has probably been created by a tone deaf, illiterate nerd who has neither seen a car or sunlight for quite some time. Sorry, but as my daughter would tell me, I’m ‘venting’, however I like so many others have a real concern as to where AI will end, that’s assuming the earth doesn’t end before then!!!
Having seen that the Ford Falcon is purportedly making a return, I thought I’d investigate if there are any other cars that we may see back on our Australian roads and guess what:

Then there is also this one which does look really cool, and it’d be great to see it back on our roads:

Now from what my negative little mind can see, after viewing many such sites as those above including car makes like Pontiac’s, VW’s, Alfa Romeo’s, Honda’s, and Porsche’s, that if you are a car designer you probably should be worried as all the cars I saw do look impressive, however one thing AI can’t do is always spell correctly. This carexpert site is a classic example of where a human English teacher could have been of assistance.
