Growing up in Canberra, Molly Taylor loved horses and competed in National Level Cross Country events. However due to her family’s motor racing pedigree, it’s not surprising that she eventually sold her horse to buy her first rally car. As Molly says, “One horse for 100 horsepower is a pretty good deal”, and the rest is history.
After competing in Europe, Molly returned home in 2015 and became the first woman driver to win a heat of the Australian Rally Championship. In 2016 she became the first woman driver to win the Australian Rally Championship with Bill Hayes as her co-driver and the youngest person to do so.
