Garage 41’s Famous Faces on 7mate

Garage 41 recently started airing on 7mate every Saturday at 3pm, replayed on Wednesdays at 5pm and viewed anytime on 7plus (https://7plus.com.au/garage-41), and in association with Famous Insurance, our Famous Faces segment has seen some fabulous guests join us:

Robert Logan, an Aussie engineer who gained notoriety building some of the worlds best Ford GT 40 Replica’s, joined us and talked about his plans to export Australian built retro 1960’s Grand Prix cars like the Gurney Eagle, Ferrari, Lotus and Brabham to America.

Television personality, musician and car lover Wilbur Wilde whose passion for cars has taken him from desert bash’s to drag racing came on Garage 41 to share some of his escapades with mates and his love of speed for Famous Insurance.

Supercar driver and all round good guy Dave Reynolds gave us an insight into his early childhood as a ‘rotten kid’, his special car in the garage and also his charitable foundation ‘Kerb the Rage’, an initiative that we should all get behind.

Johnny Gee, one of Australia’s most colourful motorbike collectors and owner of Antique Motorcycles in Melbourne, first started collecting motorbikes at the age of 8 and hasn’t stopped since. He shared some great stories with us and brought in a couple of his favourite bikes, including one powered by a helicopter jet turbine motor.

Gold Logie award winning actor John Wood joined us, not to talk about his roles as Stipendiary Magistrate Michael Rafferty in ‘Rafferty’s Rules’ or as Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon in the long running police drama ‘Blue Heelers’, but more importantly, to talk about his love for Jaguar motor cars.

Coming up in June our Famous Faces will be:

Steve Hoinville – Founder of Australian company Motum Similation which has developed ‘True Motion’ technology that removes motion imperfections and so creates one of the most realistic sports simulators available.

Guy Grossi – Renowned celebrity chef who during the Covid 19 lockdown relied on cars to keep his business going and he has a love of Maseratti’s.

Molly Taylor – Although born into Rallying Royalty here in Australia, Molly had to fight to get to where she is today as one of Australia’s top rally drivers with international experience.

Rob Herrod – Some say he’s Australia’s Carroll Shelby having recently collaborated with FORD Australia to release the factory backed supercharged Mustang R-Spec, but he’s far more than just that car.

Join myself, Dave Morley (Morley) and Mike Sinclair (Sinkers), on 7Mate Saturdays at 3pm, Wednesday’s at 5:00pm and on 7plus for Garage 41, supported by Famous Insurance.
